Bermuda’s Under 12 national tennis teams have concluded competition at the International Tennis Federation [ITF]/COTECC Sub Region 3 tournament, securing second and third-place finishes.
The Bermuda Girls’ team finished as runners-up in the team competition with a record of three wins and one loss. The team was captained by Steve Bean and included players Chloe McBrearty, Lee Terciera, and Arianna Parra Delgado.
In the Boys’ division, Bermuda finished in third place with a record of one win and two defeats. The team, captained by Evan Heyliger, consisted of Trystan Thompson, Oliver Anderson, and Manuel Maldonado.
Individually, Manuel Maldonado advanced to the Boy’s Singles semi-finals before being defeated by top-seeded Francisco Perez from Puerto Rico, 4-1, 4-2.
