BROOKLYN, NY– Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel recently shared on social media a heartwarming and humorous moment with a long-time fan, Shubha Bhowmik, during a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Brooklyn.

Bhowmik, a 90-year-old woman dressed in a traditional sari, was introduced by Kimmel as a “very special guest” seated in the front row. The host began the playful exchange by asking her age, which led to a lighthearted conversation that quickly turned emotional.

“Watching you for the last 16 years… and I love you, what you do. I love you very much,” Bhowmik told Kimmel, her voice filled with warmth.

Kimmel, who affectionately called her a “90-year-old friend,” thanked her before joking, “You say you’ve been watching for 16 years. We’ve been on for 22… took you a little while.” She cheerfully replied, “Proud to be here.”

The touching moment, which aired on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on September 30 and was later shared on Kimmel’s Instagram account, shows the host thanking Bhowmik, giving her a hug and a kiss, and posing for a photo. “You look great,” he told her as the audience erupted in applause. The video quickly went viral, drawing praise from viewers who called the exchange “the sweetest thing.”

Bhowmik’s daughter, musician and actress Shonali Bhowmik, also celebrated the moment on Instagram, calling it an “unforgettable moment for my family.” She wrote, “Mom’s dreams came true tonight! Front row seats to @jimmykimmellive in Brooklyn, and her hero @jimmykimmel announced her as a special guest at the top of the show. She even got a hug and a kiss!”
