Floyd Roger Myers Jr., a former child actor who played the younger version of the titular character in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has died. He was 42.
His mother Renee Trice, confirmed the news to TMZ, telling the outlet he passed away from a heart attack in his Maryland home on Wednesday morning.
She told the publication it wasn’t his first heart attack, saying Myers had suffered from three more over last three years leading up to his passing.

Trice recalls speaking to her son just one night prior to his death.
He had been candid about his health battles on social media, and revealed in 2023 that he had been in a coma.
Alongside a photo of himself in hospital, he wrote at the time: “Just a week ago i was in a coma fighting for my life!!
“The way my GOD work though. I’m beyond blessed and grateful to be alive !!”

Myers Jr. kicked off his acting career by playing the younger version of Will Smith in the hit sitcom in 1992, before taking on the role of the young Marlon Jackson in the 1992 television miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream, starring in two episodes.
He took an eight-year-long break from the screen before starring in an episode of Young Americans in 2000.
His acting career stopped then, he has since owned his own air duct & dryer vent cleaning business, calling himself Dr Duct, according to his Instagram bio.
He also says he co-founded The Fellaship Mens Group, a men’s empowerment group.
Myers Jr. was the father of four children, three girls and a boy.

He just celebrated the 10th birthday of one of his daughters less than two months ago, posting a tribute.
“Happy 10th birthday to my baby girl!! The life of the party and always a bright light in the room!!,” Myers Jr. wrote.
