Paul said the UFC legend “doesn’t want to take that risk.” He believes McGregor knows he could lose to him in a boxing ring. The 28-year-old also added that he’s getting better every day, while McGregor’s activity has slowed down since his last fight in 2021.

Jake Paul and Conor McGregor have traded insults for years, but Paul has now ruled out the idea of their fight ever happening. During a press interaction before his training session in Miami, Paul said, “I doubt it, because I just don’t think he would take that risk. He knows I’m a better striker and boxer than him.” Paul believes McGregor is avoiding him because the risk of losing to a younger, more active boxer could hurt his reputation.Paul reminded everyone that McGregor was once in talks to fight his brother, Logan Paul, but even that bout never happened. “They talked for months, but nothing came out of it,” Paul said. He added that McGregor talks a lot but rarely follows through. “I’m still improving every day, while nobody knows what that guy is doing,” Paul said confidently.

Conor McGregor’s return plans raise more questions

Since his loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021, Conor McGregor has not competed. Though expected to come back last year versus Michael Chandler, he withdrew after suffering an injury in practice. Three drug tests missed in 2024, on June 13, September 19, and September 20, earned the 37-year-old an 18-month suspension recently.
