Versatile playmaker Bruce Reville and young midfielder Sam Marshall have been named to face the Dogs and rewarded for their efforts on the track and in the VFL.

Reville has appeared at AFL level on five occasions this year, including the last time the Lions met with the Bulldogs in Gather Round.

While Marshall comes in for his second AFL game after making his debut in Round 1 against Collingwood.

The pair get their chance with defender Noah Answerth out for the season with a ruptured Achilles and forward-midfielder Zac Bailey unavailable due to suspension.

Marshall and Reville are named to start on the interchange along with Callum Ah Chee, Levi Ashcroft and Oscar McInerney.

With forward Sam Day, utility Conor McKenna and defender Darragh Joyce the three emergencies for the Lions.

Friday night’s match at the Gabba, which is scheduled for a 7:40pm start, will be broadcast live on Seven, Fox Footy and Kayo.
