Just a few short weeks ago, Vacherot was ranked 204th in the world, with just one tour-level win to his name.
Now, Vacherot is a Shanghai Masters champion and a Paris Masters quarterfinalist, set to be seeded at next year’s Australian Open.

Rising to the top of the game as quickly as he has, Vacherot has certainly made a splash on the ATP Tour.
But how have his rivals treated him since he’s become a contender?
Valentin Vacherot says ‘everything is positive’ in the locker room with his new rivals
During his latest press conference at the Paris Masters, Vacherot was asked about how players are treating him in the locker room.
“It’s an opportunity for me, I have been able to be in contact with players that I would always watch on TV, and now I see them in the locker room, for the warm-up, for the practice sessions,” he said.
“Everything is positive.

“I love watching them and learning from them. I still have so much to learn, obviously.”
The Monegasque star shared what some of his fellow pros have said to him since his win in Shanghai.
“A lot of players said to me, Congrats on your win in Shanghai. It’s wonderful,” said Vacherot.
“But I have so much to learn from them. And the fact that I’m now on this big tour and learning from everything, it’s wonderful.”
Vacherot is learning from the very best… and beating them, as he continues his Masters 1000 winning streak in Paris.
He’s now won 12 straight matches at the Masters 1000 level, and looks in imperious form heading into the Paris quarterfinals.

Who will Valentin Vacherot play in the Paris Masters quarterfinals?
Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime is next up for Vacherot in the French capital, having fought back from a set down against Daniel Altmaier in his third-round match.
Ranked ninth in the Live ATP Race to Turin, Auger-Aliassime needs to reach the final in Paris to jump into the qualification spots.

While Auger-Aliassime targets a place in Turin, Vacherot is after a spot in the top 25.
Beating Cameron Norrie in the third round, Vacherot moved up to 30th in the live rankings.

Depending on how far he goes in Paris, Vacherot could reach as high as 19th in the world.

He won’t want to get ahead of himself thinking about the final, just yet, however, as he now focuses on his quarterfinal match against Auger-Aliassime.
Vacherot will play Auger-Aliassime for a place in the Paris Masters semifinals on Friday, October 31.
