The MCG turns silent for Ben
The MCG crowd went silent in tribute to Ferntree Gully teenager Ben Austin who tragically died after an accident while training in the cricket nets on Tuesday.
Players from both sides, umpires and representatives from Ferntree Gully, Mulgrave and Eildon Park cricket clubs all stood on the MCG to honour the teenage cricketer.

It’s a tragedy that resonates around the cricket world as players from all over can put themselves in the place of his parents and loved ones.
The silence was peerless. Fitting for the young man.
Both teams are wearing black armbands in his honour.

‘Keep it simple’: Hazlewood on bowling success

Hazlewood finished with 3-13 from his four overs to be the pick of the Aussies although Xavier Bartlett and Nathan Ellis both took two wickets as well.

“There was a little bit of nip and swing early,” Hazlewood told Fox Cricket.
“It was more keep it simple and whack away at that good one day length as there was enough there.
“I was surprised I fielded the whole 20 overs. I should have come off.”

India all out for 125
Jasprit Bumrah tried a tip-and-run for a quick single but Varun wasn’t ready to go and Bumrah was run out.
That’s a stunning piece of miscommunication. All Bumrah could do was look at his mate with a wry smile.
That total, 125 all out in 18.4 overs, is well below par, the Australian batters know they still have a job to do from here.

Sharma still firing with two overs left
Sharma just took 15 runs off a Xavier Bartlett over, including a powerful pull shot for six. He’s on 68.
Australia have to have an extra fielder in the circle due for the last two overs of the innings, due to their slow over-rate.

India are 6-105 from 15.2 overs.

Rana hits a six
Marcus Stoinis gave Rana some trouble with his slower balls but the Indian enforcer cracked a long six from the fifth ball in the over, that meant India hit 15 runs from the over.
The Aussies will want to break this partnership as it has raced to 56 runs.

He’s spot on.
