Maddock’s Horror Comedy Universe brought vampire Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhediya Varun Dhawan together in Thamma. While fans are still discussing who outshone the other, both actors express deep respect for one another. Ayushmann recently revealed insights about a potential spinoff of Thamma vs Bhediya and addressed the much-discussed fight scene with Varun in the movie.
Ayushmann Khurrana On Bhediya vs Thamma
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Khurrana described the success of Thamma as particularly important for him, as it broadened his audience. He mentioned, “I’ve never engaged in action like that. Itna fantastical movie maine kabhi nahi ki hai, maine hamesha realistic filmein ki hain. (I have never participated in such a fantastical movie; I have always worked on realistic films.) Thanks to Thamma, I feel more at ease with action now.”
He further stated, “The affection from children has increased. Kyunki, jitni meri poorani filmein thi wo thodi, layered filmein thi. Thamma is a broad stroke film. Chahe wo Bhediya vs Betaal ka fight sequence ho… I believe all the kids have enjoyed it, so I’m pleased to have reached gen Alpha. Sabse exciting part wahi hoga jab different characters will cross each other’s paths. (The most thrilling aspect will be when various characters intersect.)”

Thamma, which also features Rashmika Mandanna, is currently showing in theaters. The Aditya Sarpotdar-directed film has surpassed the Rs 100 crore milestone at the box office, despite competing with Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
