Pride Of Jenni leads the whole way and was as far as 16 lengths ahead of the field at one point in a dominant Empire Rose Stakes victory.

Declan Bates knows how to get the best out of the eight-year-old mare and once again, the backmarkers couldn’t make up the ground over a mile.

“Just an amazing horse, to continually do what she does, she never seizes to amaze me,” trainer Ciaron Maher told Nine post-race.

“I know Tony got a lot of stick for not retiring her … there is nothing better.”
