Lewis Hamilton has just four races remaining this season to claim a maiden Ferrari grand prix podium, in what is the missing piece of his first campaign with the Scuderia.

It has been a difficult first year with Ferrari for Hamilton, who has taken time adapting to the team’s culture but, more specifically, how to drive one of its F1 cars.

There have been several major differences between what he had at Mercedes and what he has been given at Ferrari, some more significant than others.

One of the big differences for Hamilton has been the brakes Ferrari use, as Mercedes did not use Brembo. Trusting the front of his car has been a real challenge, although progress is being made.

He did claim a surprise Sprint pole and win in Shanghai, in what is currently his only real triumph in red so far.

Mexico City marked his first top three qualifying result of the season, with a podium having been a real possibility until he received a 10-second time penalty.

The gap between Hamilton and Charles Leclerc has also reduced considerably, yet it is the Monegasque who has been claiming all of Ferrari’s podiums.

Hamilton has São Paulo, Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi remaining to ensure he claims a podium in his first year with Ferrari, but will he?
