
Greece’s European Union-harmonized inflation fell to 1.7% year-on-year in October from 1.8% in September, according to Eurostat preliminary data released on Friday.
In the eurozone, inflation eased to 2.1% from 2.2%, respectively. Inflation in Greece fell for the third consecutive month after July, when it had stood at 3.7%.
In October, it was the fifth lowest in the eurozone, after Cyprus (0.3%), France (0.9%), Italy (1.3%) and Finland (1.5%).
The highest rates were in Estonia (4.5%), Latvia (4.2%), and Austria and Croatia (both 4%).
