TOUR DE FRANCE FEMMES STAGE 1 – MARIANNE VOS EANRS FIRST YELLOW JERSEY
It may have been a short stage, but we were treated to a thrilling finish in which Marianne Vos (Visma-Lease a Bike) produced a crucial move to secure the first yellow jersey. Team-mate Pauline Ferrand-Prevot, who has made her intentions clear about wanting to win this race, looked as if she would be taking a memorable first Tour stage win, but tied up before the line. With Kim Le Court (AG Insurance – Soudal) closing in, Vos did what needed to be done to ensure the early general classification lead went to Visma-Lease a Bike.
