An 11-year-old boy has died following a quad bike crash south of Darwin on Sunday afternoon.
A Northern Territory Police Force spokesperson said emergency services had responded to a report that a bike carrying the boy and a 38-year-old man had crashed into a tree in Darwin River about 12:50pm.
The spokesperson said the crash occurred at a mango farm in the rural area south of Berry Springs.
Police and St John Ambulance NT members attended and found the boy unresponsive and commenced CPR, but he could not be revived and died at the scene.
The spokesperson said the man was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital with leg injuries and investigations by the Major Crash Investigation Unit were ongoing.
