Formula 1 star Charles Leclerc has celebrated his engagement to his long-time girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux with his beloved dog sharing the special moment with the pair.

Leclerc shared the exciting personal news on Instagram early on Monday morning with a series of photos of the couple – and their social-media famous dog Leo Leclerc – alongside the caption “Mr (squared) & Mrs Leclerc” and a diamond-ring emoji.

The photos show a sweet gold bone-shaped trinket engraved with the words “Dad wants to marry you!”, a heart-shaped scene made out of rose petals and candles and happy snaps of the pair and Leo with Saint Mleux sporting the huge sparkler.

Australian McLaren star Oscar Piastri, Leclerc’s Ferrari teammate Lewis Hamilton and his former teammate Carlos Sainz were among the F1 stars to offer their congratulations to the couple.

The couple has been together since 2023 and Saint Mleux is often spotted in the paddock supporting the Ferrari driver with Leo in tow.

Leclerc’s engagement comes as the F1 season resumes at the Brazilian Grand Prix this weekend. The Monegasque driver, who finished second in Mexico, sits fifth in the standings.

Leclerc was not the only F1 driver to celebrate a personal milestone with Max Verstappen’s long-time partner Kelly Piquet sharing a photograph of the pair celebrating their fifth anniversary together at the weekend.

“There aren’t enough slides to fit all the best moments of the last 5 years. So here’s out most recent one – sharing one of our favourite meals, at our happiest, and dreaming of the next 50,” Piquet wrote on Instagram.
