Garmin is pushing another beta update to the Fenix 7, Fenix 7x, Fenix 7s, Epix, Enduro 2, Quatix 7, and MARQ Gen 2 smartwatches. Beta version 23.06 arrives just a few days after the first update in the 23.xx testing cycle, which tweaked the line graph on the Breathing Variations page, and refreshed the look of the Recent Stress widget.

Now, the latest beta release brings two bug fixes to the Fenix 7 and related wearables. The first resolves a problem on the Battery Notification Settings page, which could cause these smartwatches to crash. This was reported by multiple users in the Garmin forum. This update also tackles an issue where courses could not be loaded.

However, fresh problems have been flagged. Several Polish, German and Russian language users have noted that some of the device’s features are now shown in English. The Garmin team has yet to acknowledge this issue or indicate when it could be resolved. Plus, after the version 23.05 update, users noted that these watches have gained the recent Device Passcode feature. This was a long requested tool, having rolled out to other models at the start of the year. It is unclear why this is not noted in the change log.

If you are a member of the Garmin Beta program, you can now download the beta version 23.06 update by going to Menu > System > Software Update > Check For Updates. It remains unclear when a stable version of this software will bring the Device Passcode tool to all users of the Fenix 7 smartwatch (curr. $519 at Amazon).
