Tokyo, Japan – Sony Interactive Entertainment is turning up the volume this holiday season with “It Happens on PlayStation 5,” a bold global brand campaign celebrating the extraordinary, unexpected, and unforgettable moments that happen only on PS5.

The campaign is launching across more than 20 markets including the U.K., U.S., Japan, Germany, France, Canada, and Australia.

“If there is one thing that gamers know after 30 years, it’s that they have been able to create jaw-dropping, heart-stopping moments throughout every generation of PlayStation,” said Isabelle Tomatis, vice president of global marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment. 

It invites players to relive the jaw-dropping experiences that define a generation of gaming—moments that feel larger than life, whether escaping a monstrous creature or landing a truck on a skyscraper.

“Whether it’s a truck that somehow landed on a skyscraper or escaping from a monstrous creature, ‘It Happens on PlayStation 5’ is the kind of campaign that reminds us: unforgettable things are happening now on PlayStation 5,” Tomatis elaborated. 

The campaign blends cinematic visuals with surreal scenarios—from a fishing crew hauling an enormous sea creature under glowing night skies to a fuel truck teetering on a skyscraper spire—all designed to mirror the awe gamers feel when playing.

“Our goal with this campaign is to provoke joy and excitement among the community and capture the emotions they feel when experiencing these unforgettable moments on PS5,” Tomatis added.

From premium TV spots and cinema placements to high-impact outdoor and social activations, “It Happens on PlayStation 5” captures that split-second spark when virtual worlds collide with reality.
