DES MOINES, Iowa — The UNI women’s tennis team wrapped up play at the Drake Invitational this past weekend, facing opponents from Omaha, North Dakota, Eastern Michigan, and Drake. Sophomore Andjela Raznatovic led the Panthers with two singles wins, while freshman Yangjiaxin Li secured her first collegiate singles victory.
UNI brought four players to this tournament: Raznatovic, Li, Sedona Begic, and Abbie Peterson, with Peterson competing exclusively in doubles.
In singles play, Raznatovic earned straight-set wins on Friday and Sunday, while dropping two close three-set matches in tiebreaks. Li battled through four singles matches on the weekend, picking up her first career win in a third-set super tiebreak.
