Chicago Bulls and Australian Boomers star Josh Giddey is fast becoming one of the best triple-double machines in NBA history, and he’s doing it at the world’s most famous arena in Madison Square Garden.
Giddey recorded his fourth triple-double at MSG on November 3, putting together a stat line of 23 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists in Chicago’s first loss of the season against the New York Knicks as the Melbourne Tigers point guard continues his All-Star type form to start his 2025-26 campaign.
It was Giddey’s 19th triple double. Clearly Giddey likes playing in New York.
The performance took the 23-year-old to second on the ‘most regular season road triple doubles at the current Madison Square Garden’, passing former NBA MVP Russell Westbrook, who has three in 17 games.
Giddey is tied with arguably the second greatest player in NBA history, LeBron James, on four triple-doubles but did it in only six games compared to 32 for the Los Angeles Lakers star.
The 23-12-12 triple-double against the Knicks has Giddey trailing only Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird, who had six triple-doubles in 29 games at MSG.
The good news, Giddey has 22 games left at the arena to catch Larry Legend!
