Rosi Webb has left her position as manager of non-league Stanway Pegasus after six years for a role at Charlton Athletic.

Webb, who has a Uefa A licence, was one of the few female coaches in charge of a men’s team in England, but will now take charge of the Women’s Under-21 squad at Charlton.

She leaves with Essex-based Stanway sixth in Eastern Counties League Division One North, just one point outside the play-off places

She will continue helping with the women’s team at the club but owner Ian Booth said on X: “Rosi’s transition into the professional game is monumental for her, but what we have achieved together is truly remarkable.

“Providing her with the opportunity to enter the men’s game was never in question and she has been outstanding in her time here.

“As a coach and as a person, she is exceptional.”
