WTC Group’s 2024 Charity Golf Day raised $51,000 to support Narrabri locals access mental health services.
The funds, made available in May 2025 have now been fully allocated, providing counselling support to 90 local residents within just four months.
WTC Group managing director Will Childs said the initiative was driven by a desire to give back to the community and remove financial barriers that can prevent people from seeking help.
“We launched the WTC Charity Golf Day at the Narrabri Golf Club in 2023 as a way to give back to the community we live and operate in,” Mr Childs said.
“What started as a fun community event that supports a cause we are very passionate about has grown to deliver something extremely meaningful. The 2024 event, supported by local businesses and industry partners, showed just how much our community cares about helping one another.
“The funds raised have directly supported 90 locals in accessing mental health counselling services, proving that these support services are needed and making a difference within the community.”
Mr Childs thanked the many sponsors, participants, and volunteers whose contributions made the event possible.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the generosity of our supporters who donated prizes, sponsored holes, and took part in the auctions and raffles. This is a community-led achievement we can all be proud of,” he said.
