Dakota Johnson is revamping the little black dress trend into a little red dress; and it’s one of her most stunning looks to date!
Earlier this week, Valentino brought together a group of its celebrity brand ambassadors for separate photo shoots, including Johnson. And wow, you need to see this latest photoshoot of hers! In the photoshoot, we see the Verity star lying on the floor in a gorgeous little red cutout dress that shows off her mile-long legs and glowing skin. (Seriously, red is her color!) We also see her long flowing hair and cool-toned white lace tights, adding a vintage flair to the look.
Johnson has always been a red carpet icon, but in 2025, she’s truly unleashed her most confident self; and we’re obsessed!

In fact, in a rare previous interview with Vogue, Johnson’s longtime stylist Kate Young discussed what the Fifty Shades of Grey star typically gravitates towards. “Classic, minimal, elegant, with just a little bit of fashion for day. Dakota wants to be a disco ball,” she said, adding that she got her love for sparkle after seeing her mother, Melanie Griffith, in so many sparkling gowns over the years.
But that’s not all! In a recent cover story with Vogue Germany, Johnson had a clap back for people who say she dresses “too sexy.”
“I really don’t care,” she responded confidently. “I’ve been able to wear some of the most beautiful dresses, and I feel beautiful in them, so I wear them.” (And she noted that her mom ensured she’d be “very open about the topic of bodies.” So finger snaps to that!)
