Karan Kundrra says he “lucked out” with Tejasswi Prakash and reveals their real-life bond is just as fun and special as what fans see on screen.
Karan Kundrra recently rubbished break-up rumours with Tejasswi Prakash.
Karan Kundrra and Tejasswi Prakash met on Bigg Boss 18 and fell in love with each other. Since then, there has been no looking back for the duo. Right now, Karan Kundrra is wooing the audience with his culinary skills in Laughter Chefs, and the episodes that feature special appearances from his girlfriend Tejasswi Prakash are the audience’s most favourite ones. Now, in an exclusive chat with News18 Showsha, the actor spoke about his chemistry with his lady love, pairing with her on the show, and more.
We put Karan in a tough spot and asked him if he would choose Arjun Bijlani, Elvish Yadav, or Tejasswi Prakash as a partner on Laughter Chefs. Being his witty self, he quickly called himself a lucky guy, saying, “I lucked out with Arjun, I lucked out with Elvish, and I lucked out with Teju as well—so I’m a lucky guy, you know. As a friend, I got Arjun; as a younger brother, I got Elvish; and I don’t think I need to say anything about Teju.”
But Karan never leaves a chance to share more about their cute chemistry, and talking about them, the actor added, “Me alone or with other people—I’m a different human being. But with Teju, I’m a different person altogether. And they saw that change in energy. Abhishek was like, ‘Paaji, aap kaun ho aaj?’ and I was like, ‘Tere saath bhi hoga, teri girlfriend banegi tab.’ Anyway, Teju and I had a lot of fun, and the way you saw us on the show—in real life, we are exactly like that.”
But this is not where he stopped. Pulling her leg, Karan added, “Waise real life mein vo kam chikhati hai” (laughs).
Laughter Chefs has been ruling the TRP charts since its launch. What came as a filler is now a part of everybody’s daily routine. As the show reaches its end, when asked what he will miss the most, Karan quickly added, “The madness, everything about the show. One has to understand that this show is the combination of a set of people who actually admire each other.”
“Humara Laughter Chefs day shoot se pehle hi start ho jaata hai. We always keep calling each other—‘Kaun kidhar hai?’ and all,” he added.
