Michelle Yeoh is currently on a worldwide press tour ahead of Wicked: For Good’s premiere on November 21.
On November 10, she was in London, her hair long and brunette.
By November 13, Yeoh stepped out in Singapore with a wow-factor blonde bob.
Earlier this week, at the European premiere of Wicked: For Good in London on November 10, Michelle Yeoh’s hair was long and brunette. By the time she and her co-stars were in Singapore on November 13 for the Asia-Pacific premiere of the film, Yeoh’s look was dramatically different.

Yeoh debuted a blonde bob at Thursday’s event, where she posed on the yellow brick carpet with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo. Yeoh’s latest cut was a blend of blonde and medium brown and was chopped chin-length, with her platinum highlights appearing even more pronounced in certain lights.

As WWD pointed out, Yeoh’s latest look is likely the work of her longtime hairstylist Renato Campora, and it’s not the first time she’s switched up her hair for the Wicked franchise. The actress debuted a similar blonde style exactly one year ago, when part one of the film adaptation premiered in November 2024; Yeoh plays Madame Morrible in the movies, the second part of which hits theaters on November 21.
Speaking in January of this year, Campora called Yeoh his muse, saying that “Michelle is so classy and fashionable inside and out that I actually look to her.”
“Michelle is very enthusiastic about playing with different looks, which in the moment is very inspiring to me,” he added. “My creative process is very exciting. I would say it’s 50 percent planned and 50 percent spontaneous.”

In addition to her noteworthy hair change, Yeoh’s Iris Van Herpen haute couture gown turned heads. The gown’s tone shifted from bronze to smoky violet, and the fluid, structural gown is from the brand’s fall 2025 collection. She paired the dress with Mikimoto jewelry and a Richard Mille watch, a piece that has become her signature.
Though at this point it’s impossible to not imagine Wicked in two parts, it wasn’t always envisioned that way, Yeoh told People. The decision to break the movie into two parts “is very much like the musical, you know? You have part one, intermission, part two.”
“I think there was talk: ‘Maybe we should just [squish] it together,’” she continued, but, as she put it, “There’s so many nuances.”
“After you saw Wicked One, you felt, ‘I saw a complete film—but I want to know more about what’s gonna happen next,’” Yeoh said.
Admittedly, before signing on to the franchise, Yeoh said she didn’t know much about the musical when director Jon M. Chu—who previously worked with Yeoh on Crazy Rich Asians—approached her about joining the cast.
“I at that point had no clue what he was talking about, because I had not seen Wicked the musical before,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “I knew Wizard of Oz—who doesn’t—but not Wicked, because I hadn’t been going to the theaters and not doing what I love, which is watching musicals, for quite a while, I hate to say.”

Of the prospect of singing—which Yeoh said she loved doing, “but normally it’s in the shower, not when there’s other people around”—she confessed that she “was terrified, I was not just nervous.”
But working with a vocal coach and the encouragement of castmates like Erivo put her at ease. “Most of my singing parts are with Cynthia,” Yeoh said. “She said, ‘Just sing it out, girl. I can hear you singing. Just come out with it.’ So they made me so comfortable.”
“It’s not that I’m going to have my own concert, but at least I had a lot of fun, and that was nice,” she added.
