NarniaWeb has obtained a photo taken on the set of Netflix’s The Magician’s Nephew that includes a blurry look at two lampposts. The image, reportedly taken in October, was photographed on the same large outdoor street set near Longcross Studios — the one we recently linked to the homes of Digory and Polly.
According to planning application documents, filming on this set has spanned a full 30 non-consecutive days and involved hundreds of crew members and extras, suggesting the location was being used for significant scenes.
Given the scale of production here, we suspect portions of the “Fight at the Lamp-Post” sequence were filmed on this street as well. If that is the case, this may be our first look at the lamppost design that Jadis brings to Narnia.
