The 14-year-old Ukrainian tennis player Sofia Belyinska could not win her ninth ITF junior title.
At the J200 Cóndor de Plata tournament in La Paz, Bolivia, in the U18 category, the Ukrainian, seeded seventh, lost to 17-year-old Argentinian top seed Sol Ailin Larraya Gvidi – 5:7, 4:6.
In the tournament’s semifinal Sofia Belyinska defeated the sixth seed of the competition, 17-year-old Mariana Angel from Mexico, by scores of 6:1, 3:6, 6:2, and earlier in the tournament she had also defeated the 4th and 9th seeded rivals.
