HGTV Star Pokes Fun at Birthday Trip With ‘Boyfriend, Ex and His Wife’ originally appeared on Parade.

HGTV star Christina Haack poked fun at her recent birthday trip that included her boyfriend, Chris Larocca, as well as her first ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his current wife, Heather Rae El Moussa.

After Haack, 42, took to social media to document her birthday getaway to Las Vegas with the unlikely group, she shared another glimpse into the trip in an Instagram Reel on Sunday, July 27.

The clip showed Haack and Heather, 37, walking together with their luggage at the airport as Tarek, 43, led the group toward their plane.

“Who else flies to Vegas with their boyfriend, their ex and his wife for a 24-hour birthday trip?” Haack captioned the clip, which included a crying-laughing emoji. After she gave a shoutout to public charter service JSX, she added, “For my [42nd] year, my motto is carefree fun.”

Shortly after Haack uploaded the video, several of her social media followers took to the comments section to praise the exes for getting along. “This is the kind of parenting everyone should do. At one time you were best friends, marriage ended, friendship should remain LOVE THIS,” one person wrote, and another added, “Love the relationships you’ve built. Haters gonna hate but there are some of us here for it!”

“I love that peace, happiness, friendship and partnership has found all of you,” a third social media user chimed in.

Haack and Tarek were previously married from 2009 until 2018. The former couple remain in each other’s lives as they co-parent daughter Taylor, 14, and son Brayden, 9. While they initially had a messy divorce, Haack and Tarek have been able to create a friendship that now includes Larocca, 52, and Heather.

The Christina on the Coast star previously shared several photos from the celebration on her Instagram feed. “What happens in Vegas … ends up on Instagram,” the Selling Sunset alum – who was a collaborator on the post – captioned the photo dump, which included a selfie of the two couples. “Quick 24 hour trip to Vegas with the crew to celebrate Christina’s birthday!!”
