Champion boxer Scott Dixon has been cleared of charges stemming from an altercation during a boxing match in February.
Scottish national Dixon and Mark Alexander John George Wilson had been accused of insulting and threatening two individuals, but both were acquitted on Tuesday after withdrawing their complaints against each other.
The incident occurred at the Eden Arena and reportedly began when Dixon’s girlfriend became involved in a dispute with another woman, prompting both men to intervene.
Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech ordered the two men not to approach one another.
Dixon was recently charged in a separate case involving the alleged submission of fake medical certificates to justify breaches of his bail conditions.
Defence lawyer Franco Debono represented Dixon. Lawyer Anthony Farrugia represented Wilson.
