Keegan Brooksby has been named Hawthorn’s new General Manager of AFLW.
Hawthorn has appointed Keegan Brooksby as its General Manager of AFLW.
The newly created role will see Brooksby spearhead the AFLW program, overseeing all operations and list management duties.
With Brooksby’s appointment, General Manager of Football Operations Max Bailey will now take on a fully dedicated AFL operational role, ensuring clearer and more defined responsibilities across the football department.
Brooksby is well known among the brown and gold faithful, having been a former Hawthorn AFL player, in addition to holding several positions within the Club’s AFLW program since its inaugural season.
In 2022, Brooksby was named the AFLW Strategy and Opposition Coach, before moving into the AFLW Head of Development role in 2023, while working as the Hawks’ Academy Manager and Box Hill Talent Manager.
Since the 2024 season, Brooksby has served as an AFLW line coach, guiding the Hawks’ strong midfield unit, in addition to his position as AFLW List Manager.
Executive General Manager of Football Rob McCartney congratulated Brooksby on his appointment.
