EXCLUSIVE: Sex/Life and Paradise star Sarah Shahi is joining indie feature Road to Recovery, written and directed by Scout Taylor-Compton, star of Rob Zombie’s Halloween movies.
As we revealed, the drama stars Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Freddie Prinze Jr, Cameron Crovetti, Thomas Lennon, Marley Shelton, Tyler Mane and Cerina Vincent. Filming is underway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Pic follows a father and his terminally ill daughter who embark on a cross-country trip to find the boy she loves. Along the way, the two are forced to confront their shared grief and redefine what it means to hold on and let go.
Road to Recovery is produced by Dauntless Productions, Tom O’Connell for Building Blocks Productions, Amy Covell for Red Phoenix Productions, alongside co-producers Talia Bella and Randy Wayne for Rebellium Films. It is the first project under Taylor-Compton’s new banner Building Blocks Productions.
Shahi, who currently stars in Emmy-nominated Hulu series Paradise alongside Sterling K. Brown, is known for Netflix series Sex/Life, WB’s movie Black Adam opposite Dwayne Johnson, and series including City On A Hill, Fairly Legal, The L Word, Person of Interest, and The Rookie.
Shahi is repped by Independent Artists Group, Untitled Entertainment and Ginsburg Daniels Kallis.
