ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Cornell men’s basketball team is going overseas.
Beginning on Aug. 1, the Big Red will tour Italy for 10 days. Head Coach Jon Jaques said it’ll be a “once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience” for the players.
The team will visit the Colosseum in Rome and see marble statues in Florence. Aside from sightseeing, the Big Red will play several games against Italian clubs.
According to Cornell Athletics, the team has previously competed in Spain, Cuba, Sweden, and other countries.
