Two surprise omissions from the AFL National Draft have been selected on to AFL lists via the Rookie Draft.

West Coast selected powerful West Australian midfielder Fred Rodriguez at no.1 in the Rookie Draft – with the teenager tipped to be top 10 in the main draft earlier this year.

While another slider, Ollie Greaves, found his way to Hawthorn – the club that tried to get him part of their NGA program.

Four other draftees found their way on to AFL lists via the Rookie Draft including Riley Onley (Melbourne), Jack Watkins (Port Adelaide), Leon Kickett (Fremantle) and Nick Driscoll (Geelong).

The only pick in the AFL Pre-Season Draft saw uncontracted Brisbane premiership player Callum Ah Chee join Adelaide, after a move fell through during AFL Trade Period.

Nine players were re-listed by their AFL clubs as rookies, including Sydney duo Jake Lloyd and Dane Rampe, while Brisbane’s Lincoln McCarthy was also brought back to the Lions list.
