Cristiano Ronaldo may be one of the oldest active players in professional football but he is showing no signs of slowing down, with his latest goal for Al-Nassr leaving observers in awe.

The 40-year-old reminded all in attendance why he is considered to be one of the best to ever play the game as he pulled off an incredible bicycle kick to score against Al-Khaleej.

Ronaldo met a cross that was sent inside the box by teammate Nawaf Boushal with a brilliant airborne display that caught Al-Khaleej goalkeeper Anthony Moris off guard.

Morris attempted to dive towards the ball that Ronaldo fired towards the goal, but the goalkeeper was positioned too far wide to get within reach of making a save.

Just one defender was marking the chasing Ronaldo in the build-up to the cross, but he mistimed his attempt to head the ball away and could only watch as the ball hit the back of the net.

“Ronaldo. Sensational,” a Saudi Pro League commentator said on the live coverage.

“The legend does it again. Everybody inside this stadium is on their feet.”

Another commentator added: “A 40-year-old looking like he’s 20 … doing the old bicycle kick.”

The goal not only enhanced Ronaldo’s record of scoring the most FIFA recognised goals in history, with 954 and counting, and it also sealed the result in favour of Al-Nassr, 4-1.

It is the first goal that the Portuguese superstar has scored since he was shown red while representing his national team against Ireland last week.

While Ronaldo is the most prolific goal scorer in history, he is not the highest goal scorer in the Saudi Pro League for the 2025-26 season.

In fact, it is his Al-Nassr and Portugal teammate Joao Felix who leads that race with 10 goals. Ronaldo has nine.

Ronaldo had several opportunities to level with his teammate in the early minutes of the match on Monday, but none of his efforts could beat Moris.

Felix also had several opportunities to increase his goalscoring record for the season, but despite sending the ball into the back of the net twice, he was only awarded one as he was pinged for being offside during the other.

Brazilian footballer Wesley increased Nassr’s lead to 2-0 in the 42nd minute before Al-Khaleej Murad Al-Hawsawi narrowed the margin to one goal minutes later.

Sadio Mane and Ronaldo finished off the job in the 77th and 96th minutes respectively.
