3 Must-Watch Matches In Gallagher PREM Round 6: Bath vs. Sarries Showdown

On the heels of a brilliant month of England Rugby that saw the national team beat New Zealand for the first time in six years and close 2025 with a win over Argentina at Twickenham, the Gallagher PREM Rugby returns.

And it returns with one of the best matches of the season between reigning champion Bath Rugby and Saracens.

Bath Rugby is 4-0-1 and second on the table, while Saracens is 3-0-2 and fourth. Like the three other European professional leagues, the round is sandwiched between the end of the 2025 international season and the start of the Investec Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup.

Many of the teams will likely be missing their international stars, which means these matches could resemble PREM Cup matches, but Bath Rugby will be trying to keep pace with No. 1 Northampton, the only club in the league without a loss at 4-1-0.

Here are the three must-watch matches of Round 6.

Sale Sharks vs. Exeter Chiefs, 2:45 p.m., Friday, Nov. 28

The Chiefs have bounced back quite well from a down 2024–2025 season and enter the round at 3-1-1 with a draw against No. 1 Northampton Saints. The Chiefs, though, can lose some momentum if the Sale Sharks (2-0-3) pick up a third win.

Sale is 7 points behind the Chiefs but just two points ahead of the Harlequins and in the seventh spot on the table. The Chiefs are four points behind the Saints but still in playoff position.

Bristol Bears vs. Northampton Saints, 12:45 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 29

It’s not the best match of the weekend, but it’s probably the most important.

The Saints would open the door for Bath Rugby to regain the top spot on the table with a loss, and the Bears would move closer to the top-four with a win. Bristol currently sits at No. 6 and three points behind the Saracens, who host Bath.

The Saints are 2-0-2 in the PREM Cup and the Bears are 1-0-3, which could reflect what this matchup is truly like.

Saracens vs. Bath Rugby, 10 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 30

A matchup of two clubs in the top four of the standings is always going to be one of the best matches of the round because it’s a possible preview of a playoff showdown.

At full strength, both of these clubs can not only win the Gallagher PREM Rugby title but the Investec Champions Cup in May. While it’s unlikely that either squad will have their international stars for this, a win by Bath could mean they enter December as the best team in the league.
