Brisbane Lions AFLW duo, Courtney Hodder and Jennfier Dunne have been rewarded for their outstanding seasons with their maiden selection in the 2025 AFLW All-Australian side at Monday night’s W Awards.

The two Lions accepted their All-Australian honours at AFLW’s night of nights from a satellite event in Brisbane ahead of Saturday’s AFLW Grand Final.

Both Hodder and Dunne broke through for their first All-Australian selections off the back of outstanding seasons.

Named in the All-Australian squad for the first time, Hodder has enjoyed an electric season playing predominantly as a forward but spending some time pinch-hitting in the midfield.

The energetic forward has enjoyed a career year booting 14 goals, while collecting 16 disposals and laying over six tackles per game.

Dunne, who is only in her third season of AFLW football has become one of the premier key defenders of the competition.

The Dublin-native, at time of selection, had been involved in 19 one-on-one contests and losing only two, while also keeping leading goal-kicker Indy Tahau to just one major in Round 8.
