Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife Deborra Lee-Furness is turning 70 in a few days and a source tells National Enquirer that the 57-year-old actor wants to get in on the celebration, much to girlfriend Sutton Foster’s annoyance.
“Hugh has been hemming and hawing about what to do for this big milestone and asking everyone their opinion,” says the source. “Sutton has to grin and bear it, and offer her suggestions but everyone can see it hits a nerve. As much as she does genuinely want Hugh and Deb to get along, being left out never feels great.”
Furness, 69, would know.
Two years after announcing their separation, she filed for divorce from Jackman in May amid rampant speculation that he and Foster, 50, had an affair. “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,” Furness said in a statement to the Daily Mail, all but confirming the rumors.

Her close pal Amanda de Cadenet was not as cryptic. She commented, “You are on point with this one,” on an Instagram video posted by blogger Tasha Lustig months prior, in which she alleges Jackman and Foster fell in love while starring opposite each other in Broadway’s The Music Man.
Foster, who ended her own marriage to husband Ted Griffin in 2024, “is not against Hugh and Deb having a friendship,” the source continues. “What’s hard to handle is the fact she’s not being included. Hugh insists that it’s just this way for now, while he and Deb are working things out. He’s promised Sutton that she’ll be a part of things once they are on more solid ground.”
Until then, “Sutton isn’t the type to force her way in,” adds the source. “Truth be told, [Deborra’s birthday celebration] is more than likely going to be a family dinner with the kids, so it probably would be very awkward for her to be there.”
