Aston Martin has announced that Adrian Newey will take control of the team principal position in 2026.
Newey will replace Andy Cowell, who will transition to the role of chief strategy officer.

F1 team principal announces sensational return to racing
Williams F1 team principal James Vowles will race in the Gulf 12 Hours event from Abu Dhabi next month.Â
The GT3 race will see Vowles get behind the wheel of a McLaren GT3 EVO at the Garage 59 team, joining 2024 Gulf 12 Hours Pro-Am winner Alexander West, as well as Mark Sansom and Marco Pulcini.

The mayor of Madrid has hit out at rumours of the grand prix being cancelled, labelling them as “fake news.”
From 2026, the Spanish GP is moving to a new street circuit in the capital, taking over official duties from Barcelona, with the race set to run back-to-back with the Italian GP at Monza in September.Â

Oscar Piastri demands change after rules manipulation and penalty inconsistency
Oscar Piastri wants to see the F1 racing guidelines tweaked following perceived inconsistencies and drivers “gaming the rules” to their advantage.
The McLaren driver claimed he was “not even going to bother trying to compute” the discrepancies after he was involved in contact at the first corner of the Las Vegas Grand Prix.

Thailand GP plans advance as proposed F1 circuit revealed
The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) has released its initial circuit plans for a race track to host F1 in Bangkok.
Thailand has been in talks with F1 for some time regarding the possibility of having a race in its capital by 2028, and the Thai government has already approved a $1.2 billion bid to organise the event amid the sport’s growing popularity.
