Roy Rudzinskas scored 26 points as Brook Hill took a 60-43 win over Gilmer.

Brook Hill led 20-15 after the first quarter, 32-22 at halftime and 42-29 after three quarters.

Other scorers for Brook Hill were Heath Miller 16; Tyler Sitton 8; Zac Ryle 6; and Pietro Victorelli 4.

BROWNSBORO 69, SABINE 67

The Brownsboro Bears jumped out to a big lead early and held on for a 69-67 win over the Sabine Cardinals on Tuesday.

Brownsboro led 24-10 after one quarter, but the Cardinals trimmed the deficit to 37-26 at the break and then outscored the Bears 21-16 in the third.

Amry Parmer led Brownsboro with 18 points. Cam Hardin scored 16 points. Lane Shaw had 12 points. Other scorers were Gabe Hendricks 8; Rolan Redic 5; Jack Anderson 5; and Tyler Godsey 4.

Dakota Davis had 24 points, and Shawn Heffner and Jeremiah Templeton scored 10 apiece in the loss for the Cardinals.

Brownsboro took a 62-54 win over Pittsburg.

Scorers for Brownsboro were Parmer 17; Hendricks 16; Hardin 14; Anderson 12; Jacob Fulgham 2; and Redic 1.

TROUP 57, ALBA-GOLDEN 41

Carter Graves scored 17 points, Braxton Barton was close behind with 16 and the Troup Tigers notched a 57-41 win over Alba-Golden.

Levi Chambers also hit double figures for the Tigers, finishing with 10 points. Tre Anderson, Michael Burns and Carson McElroy all had four points, and Elijah Haugeberg finished with two.

Blake Harris had 13 points and Sam Olson added 10 for Alba-Golden.

Carter Graves finished with 21 points, Braxton Barton added 11 and the Troup Tigers earned a 45-24 win over Kerens on Monday.

Levi Chambers chipped in with six points for Troup, which led 13-8 after one quarter and 22-14 at halftime. Tre Anderson added five points and Michael Burns scored a couple.

MINEOLA 75, WEST RUSK 66

NEW LONDON — The Mineola Yellowjackets defeated the West Rusk Raiders 75-66 in pre-season basketball action on Monday afternoon.

Zane Phillips led the Yellowjackets with 25 points and Ainsley Steward scored 22. Beckham Bowler added 11, Kolton Garrigus eight, Cason Peebles six and Steven Reyes three.

Kam Brown led the way for the Raiders with 26 points, followed by Tucker Heathco with 14 and Kemontrea McGregor with 12. Tristan Castillo scored 10 with three triples and Gunner Harp chipped in with two points.

LONGVIEW 55, WHITEHOUSE 41

Campbell Liebengood knocked down three 3-pointers and finished with 23 points, Jayden Tyeski added 19 points for the Lobos and Longview opened up a big lead early on the way to a 55-41 win over Whitehouse on Monday.

Zachariah Biggs added seven points for Longview, which led 20-5 after one quarter and 33-23 at halftime. Jacorrian Stevenson had five points, and Jadyn King-Kirkendoff scored one. King-Kirkendoff and Stevenson dished out five assists apiece. Tyeski went double-double with 11 records. King-Kirkendoff, Tyeski and Biggs all had two steals, and Tyeski blocked a shot.

Chris Sturns had 13 points in the loss for Whitehouse.

CANTON 47, HALLSVILLE 35

The Canton Eagles built a big halftime lead on the way to a 47-35 win over the Hallsville Bobcats on Monday.

Canton led 15-7 after one quarter and 27-13 at the break.

Peyton Moore had 13 points and Zack Thornton nine for Hallsville, now 1-2 on the young season.

ORE CITY 35, QUITMAN 33

Kyler Rowe paced Ore city with 15 points as the Rebels edged Quitman, 35-33, on Tuesday.

Tavarius Pritchett added 11 points and Landyn Collins four for the Rebels.

JASPER 54, HENDERSON 42

HENDERSON — The Henderson Lions (0-2) fell 54-42 in pre-season basketball action against Jasper (3-1) on Monday afternoon.

Jumuajah Simms paced the Lions with 10 points. Vince Howard and Ayden Perry had eight points apiece, Jaden Lockett scored six, Jaxson Bradford three, Justin Howard two and Brailon Walker one.

Malicah Thomas and Breylon Collier each had 13 points and Demetrick West scored 10 in the win for Jasper.

TATUM 69, GILMER 48

TATUM — Cooper Whiteus scored 21 points and Grayson Lee had 15 points leading the Tatum Eagles to a 69-48 win over Gilmer on Monday afternoon.

Quincy Davis and Jacob Dygert scored nine points each, Toby Bush scored six, Jeremiah Thomas five and Brandon Howard two.

Jaden Holladay recorded 12 points and Ty Stephenson 11 in the loss for Gilmer.

After a 61-48 win at Crockett on Friday, the Eagles started their season 2-0. Whiteus paced the Eagles against Crockett with 22 points. Davis added 14 and Lee and Bush scored eight points each.

On Tuesday, the Gary Bobcats built up a 22-point lead by halftime and fended off a Tatum Eagles’ determined comeback to claim a 76-62 win on Tuesday evening.

Gary’s Ben Stephens and Tatum’s Cooper Whiteus both put on a show—33 points for Stephens and 44 points by Whiteus.

Whiteus, a senior returner from Tatum’s 3A-DI state championship winning team last season, also had five rebounds and five steals. Brandon Howard scored five, Grayson Lee Six and Quincy Davis five.

Kohl Woodfin chipped in for Gary with 13 points. Cooper Johnson added 14, Hudson Ogg 12, Korbin Suchy two and Bradley Cope two. Stephens finished with nine rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks, Woodfin double-doubled with 10 rebounds and made five assists and Ogg made it a double-double with 10 rebounds.

Gary improves to 5-2 and Tatum drops to 2-1.

DETROIT 44, ORE CITY 42

The Detroit Eagles overcame a big game from Ore City’s Tavarius Pritchett to edge the Rebels 44-42 on Monday.

Pritchett finished with 23 points in the loss for Ore City.

JASPER 54, HENDERSON 42
