Arturia has launched the AstroLab 37, a compact version of its flagship stage keyboard that delivers the full sonic palette of the AstroLab range in a more portable 37-key format. Expected to arrive in late December, the new model targets performers who need serious sound design capabilities without lugging around a full-size board.
At the centre of the new AstroLab 37 sits an expressive slim-key keybed with aftertouch, offering the kind of responsive playing feel that synth players demand. Out of the box, it provides access to over 40 instrument engines and 1,600+ presets spanning reference synths, classic keyboards, acoustic instruments, and cinematic hybrid sounds. The library is expandable through Analog Lab, V Collection, and Pigments, providing players with even more territory to explore.
Performance features are front and centre, with a built-in arpeggiator, chord and scale modes, and hands-on macros for real-time sound shaping on stage. The integrated vocoder adds another creative dimension. Seventeen insert effects plus dedicated delay and reverb engines give players extensive sound-sculpting options without the need for external processing.
The colour screen and navigation encoder make browsing sounds and switching presets straightforward, even in dimly lit venues. Real-time visual feedback keeps you informed without breaking your performance flow—something that’s crucial when you’re mid-set and need to pivot quickly.
Connectivity is comprehensive. MIDI I/O, USB-C, and USB-A host ports handle standard computer and controller connections, whilst balanced stereo output and balanced mic/line mono input cover your stage audio needs. Bluetooth audio input and WiFi connectivity add wireless options, and a pedal input lets you integrate expression or sustain pedals into your setup.
The AstroLab 37 shines due to its studio-to-stage integration. Using Analog Lab Pro, you can sync sounds, tweak presets, edit effects, manage playlists, and expand your library from your DAW. Record multitrack sessions in the studio, then take those exact sounds to the stage without compromise. Everything mirrors seamlessly between environments, letting creativity flow uninterrupted whether you’re producing or performing.
Built for the rigours of live performance, the AstroLab 37 operates completely standalone—you can simply power up, select a sound, and play. There’s no laptop required unless you want one.
