I shouldn’t restrict this to just the Bolt, Sigma Sports also has discounts on the Wahoo Elemnt Roam 3 (which a writer Simon Fellows recently gave a glowing review) and the Wahoo Elemnt Ace. Both are Strava compatible, and are top options, it’s just what you want from your computer!

Now, I’m not a Garmin man myself, I prefer Wahoo – for no particular reason actually, I’ve just become used to it.

I actually wrote about how bereft I felt last month when I lost my bike computer, and I got a replacement Wahoo Elemnt Bolt 3, which I love. It’s on sale at Sigma Sports, only 8% off BUT it is a brand new bit of kit.

Still with Jenson in the USA for a moment. I can vouch for this product because I’m wearing one. The excellent, and in fact, pretty unbeatable Garmin Fenix 8 is on sale at Jensons USA for 21% off. I’ve tested the Coros and Suunto equivalents recently and I prefer this one.

Jenson in the USA have a gorgeous Cannondale Super Six Hi-Mod with Ultegra Di2. Unusually, for a sale bike, they have them in stock in 48, 54, 56, 58 and 61. It’s down from $9,999 to $6,999.

That’s a lot of bike for a very substantial discount.

Do you run TPU tubes? Have you tried it? Black Friday is a good time to experiment.

They’re so much better than the old style butyl rubbish, and if you’re fed up with tubeless faff, and fancy giving them a go, pop a few in your basket whilst they’re around half price.

Hang on, this one is a bit of a laugh, but we’ve got to keep sane haven’t we. I was just doing one more lap of Amazon, and a Drift Trike flagged up.

There is a tenuous link to road cycling here, not just because trikes are in the same family, but because I raced a drift trike down Col D’Izoard once on my road bike, so I think this counts.

Before I get dragged off the stage by my colleague I want to point out another gem we’ve found. This one is a good measure more practical (and does have some genuine utility, Adam).

OOO, hang on. If you missed the Kickr Core deal, you might be pleased to see this one is still running, on the Tacx Neo 2T which we reviewed recently.

I’ve got one of these, and love it. I was testing the Muov Tilt Bike all summer, so thought I’d be missing that terribly when I went back to this Tacx fixed unit, but it’s a doddle to use; it’s nice to be back on my actual bike, with great pedalling sensations; and as a premium end fixed turbo, it’s pretty unbeatable at the discount price.

It’s not as cheap as the Wahoo Core, even with the big discount, but it’s a much more sophisticated unit. It’s on sale now at 18% off. Which on an item that needs this much outlay, that is not a discount to be sniffed at.

I know I sound like a salesman on the microphone at the Meat Van on the Saturday market place, but at this price, they ain’t going to hang around luv.

To almost underline why we do this – scour around the tinternet for days to try and bring you the best deals first – I was excited to tell you about the Wahoo Kickr Core units we found on sale earlier, I was literally about to write a post about it.

But they are literally ALL SOLD OUT. We can’t see any on sale, anywhere now, in the UK or US.

They were at a huge discount, for what is still a ‘right up there’ trainer, even now it’s been replaced.

I found a bike you definitely don’t need (unless you live on a Tundra) on a massive discount, a Trek Farley, on sale now for $1700.01 off . It’s just one of a ton of clear down bikes in the Black Friday clear out on Trek’s US site. If you do want to know some prices, this one is down from $3999.99 to $2299.99.

Whilst this specific bike is a little bit out there, they’ve got some similarly FAT discounts on really much smarter buys like Madone and Domane, including the AL4 we tested and loved earlier this year, and plenty of other more ‘Cycling Weekly friendly’ road models. With anything from 10-30% off.

How much trouble am I going to be in for sharing a flat bar FAT bike on CW…

We published our review of the Garmin Edge 850 online this week, and my colleague Aaron loved it, concluding: “As it stands, no other company has a companion app as comprehensive as Garmin Connect, and, if you’ve been using the Garmin ecosystem for a while, it’s easy to buy a new Garmin and plug it in.”

I only started work at 3pm GMT/10am EST/7am PST, so my clock is a bit out of kilter, but it did mean that I could go for a bike ride in daylight earlier – lucky me! It was oddly mild today, but I was still in bib tights.
