Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has hinted that Becky Swain’s days are numbered as she continues to manipulate those around her. Since arriving on the cobbles after faking her own death, Becky has been trying to come between her ex-wife Lisa and her fiancée Carla.
Earlier in the week, Becky managed to convince the couple to let her stay in their home after she received a threat that appeared to be from DI Costello.
In tonight’s episode, Carla and Lisa split up after Carla felt pushed out by Becky’s presence and general scheming.
Speaking about the storyline, Myers, who plays Lisa, opened up about the future of Lisa and Carla’s relationship while teasing a dramatic outcome for Becky.
On how Lisa is feeling about Carla’s decision to end things, Myers said: “At this point she’s numb, there’s just so much going on. She obviously still has a love for Becky, but where Carla’s concerned she’s never known anything like it.”

She continued: “At this point, I don’t think Lisa has any idea how she’s feeling, she’s so confused, her heart’s broken. There’s hope there, but what does she do about Becky? What does she do about Betsy? At this moment in time, Lisa feels she can’t do anything right.”
Opening up about Becky’s scheming, which viewers now know includes an attack on Costello that Becky was involved in, Myers said “there are definitely some doubts creeping in” for Lisa.
Despite having doubts, Myers said that Lisa is being “very, very careful” because she is thinking of their daughter Betsy, saying: “She’s seen Betsy almost be destroyed and utterly heartbroken when Becky was gone the first time.”
Asked if Lisa has any idea of how dangerous Becky really is, the soap actor said: “No, no idea. She lived with this person for 20 years, they’ve had a child together and they have grown up together, worked together.

“She knows that there is corruption in the police force, but no, no chance she thinks Becky is dangerous, it would never enter her head.”
Asked if she was excited to film scenes where Lisa eventually finds out how dangerous Becky really is, Myers said: “Yes, because credit to Amy [Cudden], she’s playing a fantastic villain with such subtlety and nuances and she’s a brilliant wind up merchant.
“She’s a great character to play but everyone loves it when the villain gets their comeuppance so let’s hope that is the case.”
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
