This prompted the network to implement temporary measures.

On Saturday, November 29, Kapamilya viewers on YouTube were left stunned after the ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel, which has 56 million subscribers, suddenly disappeared.

This incident reportedly occurred in the middle of the broadcast of the hit noontime variety program It’s Showtime.

According to eyewitness accounts, the channel had allegedly been hacked and livestreamed unauthorized materials, shortly before it went down.

Those with links to videos posted or to the channel itself, meanwhile, were directed to a message, which read: “This channel was removed because it violated our community guidelines.”

At present, the channel remains inaccessible, prompting the network to implement temporary measures.

The Kapamilya Online Live web-based channel remains on the air via the ABS-CBN Facebook page, along with the official YouTube channel of its streaming service iWant.

It’s Showtime, whose livestream was also affected, also remains online via its own Facebook account, as well as GMA Network’s own set of social media pages.

Meanwhile, news and current affairs shows like TV Patrol and Tao Po are also available via the ABS-CBN News YouTube channel.

Shows are also streaming live via the 24/7 feed of the Kapamilya Channel in the Philippines on the iWant app.

Prior to Saturday’s incident, the network faced a similar challenge back in November 2020 when the YouTube channels of both ABS-CBN News and ANC were compromised, leading to hours-long of inaccessibility of both channels.
