Danielle Collins has revealed that some men are “intimidated” by accomplished women like herself, with the tennis star having difficulty finding a boyfriend. She remains single following her breakup with former partner Bryan Kipp earlier this year. The duo originally connected at a Wimbledon coffee shop and dated for a period before ultimately parting ways.

Earlier this month, Collins disclosed to her followers that she was attempting to discover romance through a dating application. Her profile immediately attracted notice, with the American making it evident that she didn’t want “short kings” flooding her inbox.

Nevertheless, she has yet to locate someone who meets her criteria, and recently discussed the challenges of dating as a professional athlete. During a guest spot on the Nothing Major podcast, the U.S. tennis ace suggested that dating proves far simpler for accomplished men than it does for accomplished women because potential romantic interests can feel “intimidated” by them.

“I feel like when you’re successful as a guy, the amount of people that flock to you is like infinite,” she said. “You have a lot more options when you’re successful as a guy.

“But as a woman, when you start to become more successful, it narrows down the dating pool by a lot. And I feel like men can feel intimidated sometimes by successful chicks. I don’t know why that is, but, I feel that’s definitely valid for me and a lot of my friends.”

Collins noted that the demands of her travel schedule make it challenging to maintain a long-term relationship with someone who doesn’t comprehend the realities of professional tennis.

“I think it takes a special person to date a professional tennis player, male or female, just because we travel so much and our lives revolve around our careers,” she elaborated. “Every aspect, from when we go to bed to what we eat, training, all of the logistics that go into it. So, you really have to be with someone who’s selfless in that way.

“We have a short window to accomplish what we want to accomplish. It takes a really big sacrifice from people that any of us date.”

Earlier this month, Collins posted her dating profile on Instagram, with her bio stating: “Currently a professional tennis player, but kind of aspiring to be a trad wife. Straight up. Already had my boss babe era.

“Just wanting to raise my chickens, do home projects, make freshly baked sourdough, be a stay at home dog mom, and hopefully pop out some babies soon. If you’re going to lie about your height just leave me the f— alone. This is a no short kings zone.”

After receiving a private message from a bold individual, she responded: “I’ll tell you what… if anyone has the balls to slide into my DMs like this just make sure to attach your most recent bank statement while you’re at it.”
