After a long and eventful 2025 season, the off-season offered the perfect chance for our riders to unwind, recharge, and enjoy life off the bike. From city skylines to tropical beaches — and even a few very special moments — our riders shared glimpses of their adventures on social media. (And yes, this is just a small selection — many others have been out exploring too!)
Some riders traded the peloton for bustling city streets. Nils Eekhoff and his girlfriend took in the sights of New York — selfies by the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge included. Max Poole also made it to the Big Apple, sharing a photo with the stunning Manhattan skyline in the background.
Closer to home, Casper van Uden enjoyed time in the Netherlands with his girlfriend, making stops in Amsterdam and, judging by the photos, at quite a few good restaurants too.
Meanwhile, Pfeiffer Georgi, Silje Bader, Francesca Barale, Becky Storrie and Josie Nelson chose Lisbon for a girls’ trip — tasting the local specialty ‘pastel de nata’, sipping tasty cocktails and soaking in the views.
And there was a boys’ trip too: Niklas Märkl, John Degenkolb, Tim Naberman, Julius van den Berg, Casper van Uden and Tobias Lund Andresen met up in Frankfurt, where John proudly took them to a game of his beloved club, Eintracht Frankfurt.
Others went for pure sunshine. Eleonora Ciabocco swapped Italy for Egypt, soaking up the sun by the Red Sea. Rachele Barbieri travelled with her partner to the dreamy Isola di Gabriel in Mauritius — turquoise water, boats, and chill vibes all around. Jacob Bush explored the rice fields of Vietnam, while Oscar Onley showed his skills off the bike — this time steering a speedboat like a pro.
For Warren Barguil, the break was all about family, including a visit to Disneyland with his children. In Canada, Mara Roldan explored Salt Lake Island with her family, enjoying some well-earned time at home.
And one off-season story stood out above the rest — Tim Naberman’s trip to South Africa, where he proposed to his girlfriend… and she said yes! Congratulations, Tim!
Wherever they went, one thing’s for sure — our riders know how to make the most of their time off. Now, with batteries fully recharged and memories made, everyone’s gearing up for next season!
