515,000 viewers for a multichannel show can’t be ignored.

Audience numbers for Love Island continue to impress, even if we’re in the summer non-ratings period.

Last night the show ranked 515,000 in an 8:30 slot on a multichannel. Impressive.

In truth 450,000 of them were on BVOD, available from 12 midday on 9Now, meaning the linear viewing audience didn’t technically outrank the competition at 8:30pm.

But those figures could suggest a model for other shows to replicate in 2026.

Earlier Big Brother was third in its slot at 607,000 .

Both shows are killing it in the 16-39 demos (Big Brother also topped 25-54s).
