A female constable has spent close to an hour-and-a-half trapped in a crumpled NSW Police vehicle which crashed through the fence of a home in Sydney’s west.

The SUV crashed on Bungarribee Road at Blacktown about 3pm on Tuesday.

The vehicle was responding to an urgent incident, under lights and sirens, when it collided with a Mitsubishi SUV, NSW Police said in a statement.

A female constable was trapped in the vehicle for about an hour-and-a-half after the crash, with rescuers freeing her about 4.30pm.

She was stretchered to a waiting ambulance.

The driver, a male constable, received minor injuries.

A 30-year-old man driving the other car is currently assisting police.

The black Mitsubishi SUV could be seen stopped on the street outside, with a man being spoken to by officers on the footpath.
