An opulent Sydney mansion with ocean views and its own golf course has been listed for sale with a staggering eight-figure guide price.

Lowes clothing CEO Linda Penn and her entrepreneur husband David Penn are selling their Whale Beach residence, which is situated atop a cliff in the swanky Northern Beaches suburb.

The luxury villa on the sprawling 2150sqm property features five bedrooms and five bathrooms spanning across three levels, as well as a private golf course, gym, sauna, spa and heated infinity plunge pool.

Its price guide has been reported by the Australian Financial Review as $30 million.

The property, dubbed Lodge Dauphin, had undergone a substantial renovation after the Penns purchased it for $3.075 million in 2012, according to the publication.

The mansion includes a sandstone facade made from over 1,000 tonnes of “hand-selected stone”, according to its RealEstate.com.au listing.

“Nestled among towering pines and swaying gums, the exclusive residence offers sweeping vistas across Whale Beach and out to the Central Coast, while maintaining a sense of privacy,” the listing said.

“The balance of stunning views and intimate ambience sets the tone for what’s to come – a home that is elevated yet relaxed, grand yet timeless, bespoke yet approachable.”

The home was designed by well-known Sydney architect Michael Suttor, with the interior design by Deanne Rooz.

“Rich materials dominate throughout – stone, solid oak, marble, brass, and European Oak antique basket weave flooring,” the listing reads.

“Meanwhile, smart home integration ensures seamless control of lighting, climate, and security, blending cutting-edge technology with timeless elegance.”

The villa also includes lift access, a fireplace with marble finishes, underfloor heating, multiple terraces and outdoor entertaining areas.

“For those seeking an extraordinary retreat to call their own, this residence stands unrivalled – a legacy of design, lifestyle, and timeless allure,” the listing said.

Meanwhile, the property’s garden zones created by landscapers featured “manicured hedges dotted with native flora”, along with a mahogany pergola, it said.

People have reacted with awe to pictures posted online of the property, with person commenting on Facebook “This is absolutely incredible”.
