Drake visited the Black Sabbath bridge shortly after Osbourne’s
Canadian rapper Drake was one of the more unlikely faces to visit the Black Sabbath bridge in the past week and pay his respects to Osbourne.
The “Hotline Bling” star was on tour in Birmingham and reportedly paid a visit to the bench and bridge in the early hours of Wednesday (23 July).
He was spotted by New York Times reporter Alex Marshall, who witnessed the 38-year-old pour tequila over the bench for Osbourne. In a short statement to the newspaper, the star said: “I just came out to pay respects to someone who lived life to the fullest”.

Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s historic farewell show was less Live Aid, more Loud Aid
With merging and collaborating metal acts swapping over on a revolving stage, the Black Sabbath farewell show was a fast-spinning Lazy Susan of metal history. Yet there was precious little ego and plenty of heartfelt humility, said critic Mark Beaumont in his five-star review.

Birmingham put on a ”fitting tribute to a legend,’ says Lord Mayor
Councillor Zafar Iqbal thanked Sharon Osbourne and the family for allowing the city to welcome the Black Sabbath singer back home for one final time.
He said: “It was very emotional and a great turnout with thousands of fans lining the streets. It was well organised, we looked after all the fans and I think it was a fitting tribute to a legend who was a Brummie through and through.
“Like his final gig, he came back home and we were proud to have him.
“I have been here since seven o’clock this morning talking to fans and the emotions were really high, people just loved Ozzy and you could really feel that when you were there.
“I think we should be a really proud city. I’m proud that we delivered one of the best send-offs I have seen in my time.”
