ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville women’s golf head coach Ross Cash announced on Wednesday (July 30) the addition of Sydney Craven to the 2025-26 roster.

Sydney Craven is a fantastic addition to our team, coming from a strong program at Northern Colorado. I’ve known Sydney for a long time — I recruited her out of high school and have always recognized her talent. She won the Junior Division of the Pure Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach — yes, the one on TV! Though she’s a West Coast native, she visited Asheville and fell in love with the beauty of the area. We’re lucky to have her.”

Craven comes to Asheville after a season at the University of North Colorado. She did not compete during the 2024-25 season, but transferred to UNC following two seasons at Bryant.

While at Bryant, Craven competed in eight events her sophomore year and six her freshman season. During her first year at Bryant, Craven finished in the top 30 in all six events, with her best finish being third place at the Yellow Jacket Invitational with a score of +12. In her sophomore season, she averaged an 83.4 through eight events.

The redshirt junior is a native of Pebble Beach, California.
