The UTS Grand Final is set to take place between 5-7 December as some of the best players in the world clash in the exhibition event taking place in London.
The event is different from what you may normally watch on the ATP Tour. Hosted by respected coach Patrick Mouratoglou, eight players will compete over the three days for the honour of lifting the Zeus Trophy. Two Round Robin groups have been drawn, with the top two in each progressing into the semi-finals. Each match consists of four quarters lasting eight minutes. The player who wins three quarters takes victory. If tied at 2-2, a fifth and sudden death quarter is competed.
Last year’s champion Alex de Minaur is the favourite to regain his title. He has a huge advantage going into the tournament with 2023 winner Jack Draper recently announcing his withdrawal from the event due to his arm injury keeping him sidelined.
The Aussie is joined in his group by Andrey Rublev who has won two previous events in 2023 and 2024, but will be searching for his maiden Grand Final triumph. Tomas Mahac and Adrian Mannarino complete group A. Three-time Grand Slam finalist Casper Ruud heads the field in group B. Ruud has already got experience of winning on the UTS Circuit this year after he took down the competition in the French city of Nimes. Francisco Cerundolo, David Goffin and Ugo Humbert complete the lineup.
How and where to watch
In the UK, Sky Sports will be the place to go to follow the action. The broadcaster recently clinched the rights to the event, and would have been bitterly disappointed along with the British public to hear about Draper’s withdrawal. In the USA you can follow the action on the Tennis Channel while Australian fans can follow de Minaur by streaming it on the TNNS App, also available for all countries around the world.
France has two inclusions, with their fans able to watch on L’Equipe Live while the majority of Europe can keep an eye on proceedings on Discovery + / Max.Â
