Break out the black tie because Australia’s answer to the Golden Globes is right around the corner.

The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) awards has revealed its full list of nominees for next year’s ceremony.

Limited series Apple Cider Vinegar leads the nominations tally board this year with 20 nods across acting, writing, directing, casting, soundtrack, score, sound, costume, and editing. The Netflix production is a partly fictionalised retelling of accused wellness scammer Belle Gibson’s highly public fall from grace.

ABC journo drama The Newsroom and Prime series The Narrow Road to the Deep North are not far behind, with 12 nominations a piece.

In film, Australian horror continues to dominate with Danny and Michael Philippou’s frightfest Bring Her Back securing 16 nominations – including Best Film. Michael Shank’s debut screamer Together grabbed eight nominations, including a Best Supporting Actress nod for star Alison Brie.

Legal thriller The Correspondent which recounts the real-life ordeal of journalist Peter Greste locked down 14 nominations.

When are the 2026 AACTA awards?

The 2026 AACTA awards will be presented over two ceremonies: the industry awards on February 4, and the main awards ceremony on February 6.

The ceremonies are a part of the AACTA festival, a five-day festival on the Gold Coast that will feature a range of free and ticketed events, including in-conversations with some of this season’s nominees and winners.
